Proto UFO Rear Wheel Adapters For TDI DEX

UFO Wheel Adapters allow you to ride any wheel on your PROTO TDI Deck. Because TDI has been Standardized since its inception, UFO Wheel Adapters are compatible with every TDI Deck so you can ride any Wheel with any PROTO Deck ever made. They are available for both 24mm & 30mm wide Wheels as well as 8mm & 12mm diameter Axles. Wheels which require 12mm Axles can be adapted to use the Standard 8mm Axle with no additional components or modifications by using the appropriate UFO Wheel Adapters.

FLUSH MOUNT TECHNOLOGY (FMtech)™

Flush Mount Technology or “FMtech” by PROTO is a 3-Part System consisting of Cylindrical Pegs (Deck-Ends™), Conical Wheel Spacers (UFO™ Wheel Adapters) and the actual Design/Shape of the TDI DEX Drop-Outs. Together, they turn the entire rear end of the Scooter into one uniform grinding surface, similar to a skateboard truck.

Deck-Ends experience the most wear and tear during grinding and protect the actual Drop-Outs of the Deck from being ground down or flexing outward and can be easily replaced when worn to extend the life of your Deck. They also interlock and are supported by the Deck Extrusion eliminating the chances of bending the ends of an Axle.

UFO Wheel Adapters support the Drop-Outs from the inside keeping the Drop-Outs from bending inward effectively sandwiching the Drop-Out rigidly between the Deck-Ends. The Conical/Cone shape of the Adapter transfers and distributes all of the impact load to the full flat face of the Drop-Out, reducing “spacer wear” on the Drop-Out and maximizing the life of the Deck. This increased rigidity also better supports the center of the Axle from bending on heavy impacts. UFO Wheel Adapters are fully encapsulated inside the Deck Extrusion so they do not experience any wear or impact and can be reused time and time again with any TDI Deck.
