HIC Shims
An HIC (Hidden Internal Compression) setup runs an oversized bar over a standard fork steerer. The shim fills the gap between the two so your bar sits tight and centered. It's also what your compression bolt pulls against. A worn, cracked or wrong shim is one of the most common causes of bar wobble on HIC scooters, so it's worth replacing when you swap bars or forks.
We carry standalone shims from Ethic and Triad, plus complete HIC kits from Root Industries and Envy that bundle the shim with the rest of the compression hardware.
- Your fork needs to be HIC compatible and your bar needs to be oversized

- Line up the slit in the shim with the slit in your bar before tightening your clamp
