The History of Vinyl: From Valencia to a New Era of Wheels
The story of Vinyl began in 2019, during a trip to Valencia with our previous brand, Analog. What started as an idea quickly grew into a mission: move production away from China, bring manufacturing back home to the Czech Republic, and create the most advanced scooter wheels ever made.
The journey wasn’t easy. At first, Vinyl planned to outsource production to a third party while focusing on sales and marketing. But after 12 months of frustration, failed samples, and unreliable suppliers, it became clear that if Vinyl wanted to revolutionize scooter wheels, it had to do things differently.
So Vinyl made a bold decision: build its own workshop from the ground up.
For the next two years, the team poured energy into developing custom equipment, mastering the complexities of urethane, and refining every step of the production process. Nearly every aspect of manufacturing was rethought to improve the feel, rebound, and durability of the final product. Combined with Vinyl’s self-developed formula, this dedication has led to a wheel unlike anything riders have experienced before.
