Firstly a heat treated chromoly inner peg over alloy, this thinner material which saves weight, adds strength, allows a thicker, stronger and more durable nylon sleeve, without making a huge bean can peg. United uses a low friction, and abrasion resistant material, and brags that their riders have tested them for 10+ months.
